Sommelier's Notes
Intense ruby red color with garnet reflections. The bouquet is broad and deep, featuring notes of cherry in spirit, blackcurrant, and ripe plum, enriched by hints of sweet spices, tobacco, leather, and volcanic stone. On the palate, it is structured and elegant, with fine tannins and a vibrant mineral freshness.
The finish is long and persistent, with hints of red fruits, licorice, and a refined smoky note.
Recommended Pairings
Pairs perfectly with braised meats, roasted red meats, and game, as well as aged cheeses and rich Sicilian traditional dishes such as oven-baked lamb and eggplant caponata.
Excellent with structured first courses, such as pasta alla Norma and porcini mushroom risotto.
